It meant the world to us when we received this surprise picture from our dear friends Tonja and Desiree, who visited Jody for his 28th birthday. *you guys are awesome thank you so much!*
We couldn’t be there today but we’re celebrating his birthday here in Alaska. We’re enjoying his favorite food and drinks, and remembering the good times we spent together just hanging out and talking. Jody was a lot of fun to be around and we are forever grateful for the memories he gave us <3. Happy birthday Jody!
Added a new feature to the site where you can get notified when there’s a new picture, story, extra, news, etc added to the Jody Wirawan Memorial.
That way you don’t have to keep checking the News page all the time to see what’s new around here (although if that’s what you like then check away).
There’s signup spots in several places on the site for people who are just casually stopping by, but if you’re not signed up yet then just put your email in the box below and you’ll get updates delivered straight to your inbox :).
I’ve noticed quite a few people have already visited and read the page titled The Life Story Of Jody Michael Wirawan in the last week. I just wanted to say thanks for stopping by that page and reading about Jody’s life, it’s such a heartwarming thing to see!
Although Jody’s life story is on the page in full, not all the pictures are in yet…so I was pleasantly surprised to see so many people reading through it already.
I promise I’ll put in the rest of the pictures soon and maybe even put in more about Jody’s life in some of the blocks. When it’s all finished I’ll post about it on the News page so keep an eye out :).
In the meantime if you want to check out the page about Jody’s Life Story just click the picture and it’ll take you there. Thanks again everybody, love you guys!
Added a new page where people can easily contact those of us in Jody’s family.
I decorated it with an American flag and an Indonesian flag, this is in honor of the two flags in Jody’s birthday platter that you can see in some of his super adorable baby pictures.
You can see the Contact page and the flags at:
Feel free to try it out!
Thanks,
Anita
I added a new page to the Jody Wirawan Memorial which is has questions and answers about Jody’s life.
It’s still in the very early stages but there are already a few questions and answers up. You can see the questions on the main Q & A page and all you have to do is click on the question you’re interested in and you’ll be able to find out the answer:
There will be more questions and answers added soon, plus I’ll be adding as many new pictures to the pages as well.
Got a question about Jody? Feel free to use the following form to submit any questions you might have:
Thanks,
Anita
Just added a new feature that does a countdown to Jody’s birthday, I thought it would be a cool thing to see around here.
If you’re on a desktop computer check out the sidebar and scroll down a little to see it, and if you’re using a mobile device you can see it at this link:
As you might have noticed already this memorial is undergoing some major changes this week, the most dramatic being updates to the site structure.
It’s hard to believe so much time has passed but the original memorial for Jody was made 5 years ago, and so it also reflected the various needs of people browsing during that time period.
The needs of people browsing the internet have obviously changed by leaps and bounds since then. A year is a long time in the world of technology and 5 years is close to an eternity, so the revamp of Jody’s memorial is definitely overdue.
Fast internet speeds and fast hardware are commonplace now, not to mention that everybody and their grandma carries a computer in their pocket capable of browsing the internet any time, any place.
And so this site is being updated to reflect these changes and will enable people to get to know even more about Jody and his life. I gotta say also a big thanks to Jennifer Wirawan for her help in the redesign of this site, I appreciate it! And though there will be many changes to the memorial the foundation will always remain the same: our love for Jody and the happiness it brings to share who he was with the world.
Thanks,
Anita
